Following Friday’s match, the Beacons will face Concordia on Saturday at their usual tipoff. The Cavilers swept the Beacons with an 83-71 win over the women and a 71-68 OT win against the men. Come enjoy four amazing matchups with top 25 NAIA ranked teams and come cheer on your very own Beacons!

The Beacon Bolt is announcing the newest competition for the Northwest Christian University students. Our goal is to have the last four home games have the largest admission and the biggest student section of the year. The athletic department has scheduled an array of fun events for this weekend, starting with a “white out” on Friday night, along with a t-shirt and Cosmos Corn giveaway. The Oregon Band will be there and the game will be televised locally. Saturday is a special opportunity for NCU to recognize 8 seniors, please wear gold or yellow Beacon gear in support of the night’s “gold out” theme.

We challenge students to attend the games this weekend dressed in their best beacon gear either in white for Friday and gold or yellow for Saturday, with face paint, handmade signs and enough team spirit to cheer as loud as they can the whole game. For each of the four games this weekend, we will choose one first place student with the most school spirit to win a $5 Dutch Brothers gift card and a free entrée certificate to Qdoba Mexican Grill, but we will also choose a second place student to also win a free entrée certificate.  Please participate in the festivities and come cheer on our Beacon basketball teams as we face one of the most challenging weekends of the regular season play.
